Dr. Iniudo George-Ukpong, a lecturer at the University of Cross River State’s (UNICROSS) Faculty of Biological Sciences, has been kidnapped by gunmen.
This happened just twenty-four hours after Governor Bassey Otu gave offenders a choice: repent and benefit from his amnesty, or be fished out.
Barbara Brownson, another employee of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, was taken by the kidnappers.
Also yesterday, Friday, they abducted one Mike Njagu in Calabar.
According to family sources, Iniudo, who is an Associate Professor of environmental and public health parasitology, was abducted on his way home from the office.
The Police PRO in the state, Irene Ugbo said she would speak later.
