The Guinness World Record (GWR) recently made an announcement regarding Nigerian chef Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci.
According to GWR, they proclaimed Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. Their statement, shared via their Twitter page on June 13, 2023, became their “most successful tweet ever,” reaching nearly 25 million news feeds.
Earlier, GWR officially certified Hilda Baci’s achievement, recognizing her cooking marathon duration as 93 hours and 11 minutes. It was clarified that she had mistakenly counted extra minutes for one of her breaks during the initial attempt, as opposed to the initially reported 100 hours.
Guinness World Record retweeted the post, accompanied by the caption, “Yeah, so this is our most successful tweet ever, reaching nearly 25 million news feeds.”
