Lagos: Baby girl abandoned under bus in Mile 12

A baby girl was found abandoned under a parked bus on Wednesday at Mile 12 in Ketu, Lagos.

This was disclosed by the spokesperson of Lagos Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on his Twitter handle.

According to Hundeyin, a Lagosian who set out for work at about 4:30 am on Wednesday, June 14, heard the cry of the baby under a parked bus somewhere in Mile 12 Ketu.

He said Police officers from Ketu Division, were alerted and they took the healthy baby girl into safe custody.

Also, he stated that the Investigation is ongoing.

The spokesperson also revealed that one Mastru Mutairu was arrested after he was caught vandalizing bridge railings.

He said at about 3:15 am on Wednesday, a motorist informed the police of a vandal on Carter Bridge.

Officers from Ebute-ero Division moved in and caught the 30-year-old suspect who took to his heels but was eventually arrested.
