Danjuma Odiba, the chairman of the Kogi State Market Board, has been fired for “gross failure to perform his duties.”
At the extraordinary State Executive Council meeting held on Monday at Government House, Lokoja, the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, made the announcement of the dismissal.
Odiba was charged with abandoning his responsibilities and encouraging the return of filth in the state, according to the Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, who confirmed the development following the exco meeting.
Fanwo added that Odiba’s replacement would be announced in the next few days.
