On Friday, a Toyota Sienna rammed into a truck, killing three people and injuring one more in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway’s Ogun State sector.

Florence Okpe, the Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun Sector Command, verified the accident on Friday.

Okpe stated that the accident included a Toyota Sienna with the registration number BDG 426 HT and a DAF truck with the registration number RNG 558 XC. She added that the accident happened near the Total petrol station on the motorway.

According to her, the accident included seven people: four male adults, two female adults, and one youngster.

Okpe attributed the cause of the accident to speed on the part of the Sienna driver. She said the Sienna driver rammed into the DAF truck, which was coming out of the trailer park.

Okpe said, “The injured victim was taken to Isaara General Hospital for medical attention while the corpses were deposited at FOS morgue, Ipara.

“Operatives are still on the ground managing the traffic situation.

“The Sector Commander has cautioned motorists against excessive speed and advised them to use common sense speed limits.”
