Mr. Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has expressed his condolences to the family of Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere, also known as Oke-Agbara, the founder of the Christ Apostolic Church.
Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere passed away on Wednesday at his home in the capital city of Ibadan, Oyo State.
Obi responded by describing the deceased man of God as a highly esteemed preacher of the gospel of Christ in a tweet on Thursday night.
He emphasised that the late prophet had made outstanding contributions through his evangelism and claimed that he had made a significant contribution to societal and missionary growth.
He wrote, “I have just received the news of the death of Prophet Michael Olowere, a renowned evangelist and founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Agbara.
“He was a very respected minister of the gospel at Christ Apostolic Church. He contributed greatly to missionary and societal growth.
“His many decades of evangelism were very impactful in Oyo State and beyond. I commiserate with his immediate family and Christ Apostolic Church over his demise. May God grant him eternal rest and comfort all who mourn him”.
