Nigerian Skitmaker Trinity, known as Trinity Guy, has been released from prison after meeting the conditions for bail.

The news was announced by fellow skit maker Cute Abiola on his Facebook page on the night of July 21, 2023.

“TRINITY is finally free on Bail 💪 . I am wishing you all the best brother . May Almighty Allah keep guiding you to the right path . Amen 🙏 welcome back ! Welcome back ! My guy don pray tire 🤣 see him forehead,” he posted.

Trinity Guy was remanded in the Agodi correction center by a Family Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, on July 11, 2023. The court took this action following allegations of sexual exploitation involving a 10-year-old girl. Alongside Trinity Guy, 31-year-old Maruf Abdullahi, 40-year-old Isiaka Ahmed, and his wife, 29-year-old Rofiat Ahmed, parents of the child, were also ordered to be remanded in Agodi.

The matter has been adjourned until August 3, 2023, for mention. The charges brought by the police include conspiracy and sexual abuse/exploitation against Abdullahi and the parents of the victim.

According to the Police Prosecution Counsel, Oluwakemi Arowosaye, the three defendants allegedly conspired to sexually abuse the young girl. The incident is said to have occurred on December 17, 2022, in the Kuolaa area of Ibadan. The offenses are in violation of Section 35 (1) and punishable under Section 35 (2) of Oyo State Child Rights Law, 2006, as well as Section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

If found guilty, the skit maker could face up to 15 years of imprisonment under the Child Rights Law, 2006.
