  • She went missing after she closed her shop at a business plaza in the Area 3 junction
  • Her boyfriend Aminu was spotted in handcuffs as he was being escorted into a police vehicle

The police have reportedly arrested a man named Aminu, who is believed to be the boyfriend of Blessing Karami Moses, a missing student of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

Ms. Moses, 26 years old, was reported missing by her family on Monday, September 11, 2023, after she closed her shop at a business plaza in the Area 3 junction.

However, according to THE WHISTLER, the DPO at the Durumi Police Station, where the case is being handled, did not confirm whether or not any suspects have been apprehended as of Wednesday.

“I’m transferring the case from here to state Criminal Investigation Department CID, they will continue from there. The case is beyond me now,” he said.

But Moses Karami, the elder brother of the missing lady who was at the station, said that Aminu, known as her only boyfriend at the plaza, had been taken into police custody since the day the case was reported.

“He is here in detention,” Moses said at the Durumi Police Station.

However, the DPO was overheard asking his officers, “Where’s the girl’s boyfriend? We have to go with him. Put him on handcuffs if possible.”

Later on, Aminu was spotted in handcuffs as he was being escorted into a police vehicle, presumably to be taken to the state CID (Criminal Investigation Department).

Aminu is believed to have been the person closest to the missing woman at the commercial plaza, and the two had a meeting planned before she disappeared.
