Three teenagers arraigned for causing nuisance around Wike’s Abuja residence

According to the prosecutor, the defendants were warned against their actions but they failed to listen

Three teenagers have been dragged to court for allegedly causing a public nuisance around the house of FCT minister, Nyesom Wike

The teenagers were arraigned by the FCT police before a Grade l Area Court in Lugbe, Abuja.

Nasiru Abdullahi, 18, Usman Jabrin, 17, and Aliyu Adamu, 18, all of whom have no fixed address, were arraigned on charges of conspiracy and public nuisance. They, however, pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr Stanley Nwaforaku, told the court that Insp. Godwin Gabriel and his patrol team attached to Asokoro Police Station arrested the defendants.

He said that the defendants were causing a public nuisance around the residence of Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.

According to the prosecutor, the defendants were warned against their actions but they failed to listen.

He added that during the police investigation, the teenagers could not give satisfactory reasons for their actions.

The judge, Malam Aliyu Kagarko, ordered that the defendants be remanded in custody.

He held that he must see their relations before granting them bail.

Kagarko adjourned the case until Oct. 13 for mention.
