  • The project includes a four-kilometer road, drainage, street lights, lavatory blocks, mosque, police outpost, offices, and a conference room

The Kano State Agro-pastoral Development Project (KSADP) has approved approximately N600 million in funding for the provision of facilities at the Dawanau International Grains Market.

This is according to a statement issued in Kano on Wednesday by Ameen Yassar, the project’s communication specialist.

According to Yassar, the Islamic Development Bank and the Lives and Livelihood funds are funding the project.

He stated that the facilities included a four-kilometer road, drainage, and street lights, and that the Labor Technical Services Ltd. was awarded the contract for the construction of the road, drainage, and street lights for N508 million.According to Yassar, AITEC Infraconsult Ltd. was awarded a contract for three blocks of lavatory, mosque, police outpost, offices, and conference room at a cost of N92 million.

He stated that the project would be completed in 12 months.

Again, bandits kill 6 in Southern Kaduna

Bandits terrorising Nigeria’s northwest State of Kaduna have struck again, killing six in the beleaguered southern part of the State

The incident happened when the rampaging bandits attacked the Takanai community of Atyap chiefdom in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of the state.

The acting Secretary to the District Head of the affected community, Samson Markus, made the disclosure on Wednesday.

Speaking with journalists, Markus disclose that the bandits attacked the community on Tuesday night, killing six locals including children.

He added that the intervention of military forced the assailants to take to their heels, hence limit the level of havoc they would have wreaked.

He said “We were going about our normal businesses when we heard gunshots, we thought it was the military at first, before the military came, they killed six persons, including two children.
