APC will rule Benue for long – Gov Alia boasts

  • Says people have rejected the opposition Peoples Democratic Party
  • Reiterated his desire to lead APC to victory in every election in the state

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has declared that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will rule the state for a long time.

Noting that the people have rejected the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, he said his administration would ensure good governance that will benefit the entire state.

Alia made the declaration on Monday, while addressing the expanded executive committee meeting of the party at the state secretariat in Makurdi.

This was contained in a statement distributed to journalists by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor,Sir Tersoo Kula on Tuesday.

According to the statement,the governor solicited for more synergy between the government and the party leadership in the state, to enable his administration to deliver the yearnings and aspirations of the masses.

Alia, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Paul Biam, assured that his administration will not fail the party.

He promised to make the party proud by addressing the yearnings and aspirations of the masses.

Alia, in the same vein, reiterated his desire to lead APC to victory in every election in the state.

In his response, the chairman of the APC in the state, Comrade Austin Agada, pledged the readiness of the party to support the efforts of the governor, which he said are aimed at repositioning the state to greatness.

Agada admonished all local government chairmen of the party to always make it a sense of duty to attend, in their numbers, any function either organized by the government or for the governor, to show support and solidarity.
