Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has raised concerns about the sudden influx of unfamiliar individuals into the state ahead of the Court of Appeal hearing on the gubernatorial election petition scheduled for tomorrow.

The governor expressed worry that the arrival of these unknown persons was causing tension, particularly in the Keffi Local Government Area. Despite the apprehension, he urged his supporters and the state’s residents to exercise restraint.

In response to the judgment of the gubernatorial election petition tribunal favouring David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Sule had recently filed an appeal. The upcoming Court of Appeal hearing has heightened security concerns.

During an extended security meeting at the Government House on Monday, Governor Sule acknowledged the people’s support and the tolerance displayed by some politicians following the tribunal’s judgment. However, he called for increased restraint in anticipation of the appeal court hearing.
