  • The incident is the latest to occur barely 24 hours after a councillor in Lafia Local Government Council, Agidi Bulus Ajeh, who was kidnapped by unknown gunmen regained his freedom.
  • Meanwhile, there is no confirmation yet concerning the reported kidnap of the CBN staff by the Nasarawa State Police Command.

Isaac Bature Gbaja, an assistant manager of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Lafia, the capital of Nassarawa State, has been abducted by some unidentified gunmen.

On Monday, November 13, 2023, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Gbaja and two other unidentified individuals were taken hostage.

The kidnappers reportedly called the family on Thursday and are requesting N10 million as ransom.

It was also discovered that he was picked up at his wife’s location on Kwandere Road, Tudun Gwandara, Lafia, Nasarawa State, which is close to MACFES Royal Suites.

This is the most recent event to transpire in less than a day following the release of Lafia Local Government Council member Agidi Bulus Ajeh, who was abducted by unidentified gunmen.
