  • Troops have successfully cleared a notorious terrorist hideout at Gidan Jaja in Zurmi LGA, thereby further disrupting criminal activities in the area.
  • Military officials are undergoing medical treatment and debriefing as they await reunification with their families through the Zamfara state government.

Thirteen kidnapped people in Zamfara State have been freed by the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD).

In the Maru local government region, the rescue operation was carried out near the Gobirawan Chali and Dangulbi areas.

After being left behind by terrorists who were fleeing, the 13 victims—all from Mutunji village in Dansadau Emirate, Maru LGA—have been set free.

According to a military statement, medical treatment and debriefing are underway as they await reunification with their families through the Zamfara state government.

Additionally, the troops cleared a notorious terrorist hideout at Gidan Jaja in Zurmi LGA, further disrupting criminal activities in the area.

In a parallel operation, 11 suspected logistics suppliers linked to a notorious terrorist, Halilu Sububu, were arrested at Kwanar Boko in Zurmi LGA. The suspects were intercepted while transporting essential supplies for the said terrorist figure.
