  • Reports emerged on Monday that the terrorists had killed three of the ten victims
  • The Police Public Relations Officer in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT command, could not be reached for comments at press time.

Residents of Sagwari Layout Estate Dutse, Abuja, are living in constant fear following the deaths of three of the ten people who were kidnapped from the area.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls how the audacious gunmen had broken into the estate on January 7 using ultra-modern weaponry and taken at least ten hostages

On Monday, there were reports that three of the 10 victims had been executed by the terrorists as a stern message to their family who were negotiating a ransom payment.

Also, it was learned that the attackers’ demands, which were originally N60 million for each victim, had been raised to N100 million, or N700 million, as the sole need for their release.

It was further gathered that the victims were allegedly killed over the ‘delay’ in raising the ransom earlier demanded by the kidnappers.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT command could not be reached for comments as of press time.
