  • Says driving against traffic was a serious offence and the corps would not condone it.

Adekunle Ajibade, the commander of Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) has urged Nigerians to cease pleading with authorities to grant clemency to motorist arrested for violating traffic rules.

The TRACE commander condemned motorists’ assault on its personnel, urging relatives to enforce traffic rules, stating driving against traffic is a serious offense and not condoned.

Ajibade said that many families had lost loved ones, especially their breadwinners, because of motorists who drive against traffic.

“The public should stop begging for offenders who drive against traffic flow as imposing stiff punishment on such drivers would serve as deterrent to others who intend to commit such offence,” he said.
