  • Yoruba Welfare Group (YWG) cautions Sunday Igboho against making remarks targeting Fulani residents, urging him to approach issues cautiously
  • YWG emphasizes the need to address criminality without exacerbating ethnic tensions, advocating for peace and unity in the South-West

The Yoruba Welfare Group (YWG) has issued a cautionary statement to Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, regarding his recent remarks targeting Fulani residents in the South-West region.

In response to Igboho’s renewed threat towards Fulanis, the YWG urged him to approach the issue with caution and refrain from exacerbating ethnic tensions by associating criminal activities with specific ethnic groups.

Igboho, who recently returned to Nigeria after an absence of over 30 months, has reiterated his call for Fulanis to vacate the South-West, warning of consequences if they fail to comply.

However, Comrade Abdulhakeem Alawuje, the National President of YWG, emphasized the importance of addressing criminality without resorting to ethnic generalizations. Alawuje cautioned Igboho against escalating tensions through inflammatory rhetoric directed at Fulani residents.
