According to the prosecutor, Amina Baba, the defendants committed the offence between October 2023 and February 2024 at Jakara Quarters, Kano.

Baba told the court that the defendants hoodwinked and lured the 11 victims to their houses in Jakara Quarters, Kano and sodomised them.

She said that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 284 of the Penal Code.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge, and the defence counsel, Dalhatu Usman, urged the court to grant his clients bail according to Sections 35 and 36 (5) of the 1999 Nigeria Constitution as amended.

The prosecutor, however, opposed the bail application, arguing that the charges against the defendant were serious and urging the court to dismiss the application.

Chief Magistrate Auwal Yusuf-Suleiman ordered that the defendants be remanded in a correctional facility and adjourned the matter until March 28 for a ruling on the bail application
