Imam Dr. Adam Jamiu Dosunmu, an Islamic scholar based in Abuja, has urged Muslims to demonstrate goodness and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking at the 1445 Ramadan Lecture organized by the Majlis Tajdeed Tadhamunul Muslimeen Association (MTTA), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter, Dr. Dosunmu emphasized the importance of extending kindness, especially considering the prevalent hardship and hunger in the country.

He stressed the need for Muslims to be attentive to the struggles faced by individuals within their communities, particularly during this challenging period.

Dr. Dosunmu emphasized that fasting should not be limited to refraining from food and drink but should also involve avoiding actions such as backbiting and slander against others.

Furthermore, he encouraged Muslims to uphold moral integrity during Ramadan and throughout their lives, emphasizing the importance of continuing righteous conduct beyond the fasting period.

He concluded by urging Muslims to remain steadfast in their commitment to virtuous behaviour, emphasizing the significance of maintaining purity and righteousness beyond the confines of Ramadan.
