The Lagos state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) acknowledges the challenges facing the nation and assures that the government is diligently addressing them.

In his 2024 Easter message on Friday, the state party chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, emphasized that under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, the current difficulties would soon be overcome.

Ojelabi also commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his efforts in providing relief to residents during this challenging period.

He encouraged Nigerians, particularly Lagosians, to remain patient and supportive of the government’s endeavors, emphasizing that short-term struggles would yield long-term benefits.

Furthermore, Ojelabi urged Christians and all Nigerians to embrace the spirit of Easter by demonstrating love and solidarity towards one another.

He called on Christians to emulate Christ’s selflessness by making sacrifices for the betterment of society, mirroring Christ’s ultimate sacrifice for humanity’s redemption.

He said as followers and believers of Christ, Christians should always see and accept Christ as their role model.

Mr Ojelabi admonished Christians to accept the lessons of Good Friday, which came with pains, agony, suffering and challenges but ended with the joy and blessings of Easter.

Mr Ojelabi said: “Jesus Christ made much sacrifice by carrying his Cross on Good Friday amidst humiliation, persecution and torture so as to save the world.

“We should also be ready at all times to forgive anybody that offends us as Christ forgave all his persecutors before he died on the Cross.

“Let us continue to strengthen our relationships with God, our reliance on God and renewed hope in God, and he will surely perfect everything that concerns us at his appointed time.”
