  • The EFCC had charged Yahaya Bello, his nephew Ali, Dauda Sulaiman, and Abdulsalam Hudu with alleged N84bn money laundering in March 2024.
  • Reacting to the development, the ex-governor’s media office, in a statement, condemned the operatives’ actions while urging President Bola Tinubu to caution the EFCC.

Usman Ododo, the governor of Kogi State, paid a visit to his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday, April 17, after EFCC agents conducted a strict security operation on his Abuja home.

At around 2:30 pm, Ododo, a few security guards, and a few young supporters showed up at Bello’s residence to express their disapproval of the invasion.

The Nation reported that some operatives of the EFCC besieged Bello’s residence in Abuja.

The former governor’s house is located at 9, Bengazi Street in zone 4 of the Wuse District area of Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja.
