Vanguard reports that the deceased come from Abuja to meet his in-laws to discuss burial arrangements for his late wife.

He was on his way to the meeting when the car he was in, got stuck in the ‘Ewu Owa River’ on Wednesday.

The tragedy again further underscored the pitiful and deplorable state of Gberigbe road which has deteriorated over the years and the situation even becomes hellish and traumatic for motorists whenever it rains.

Many vehicles break down everyday at Fomon bus stop, the spot where the incident happened.

Social miscreant and hoodlums have capitalised on the situation to make brisk business, they reportedly charge hapless and stranded motorists as much as 5,000 to help push out trapped vehicles.
