  • He said people should not get carried away by Wike’s public mood of forced gaiety, adding that all is not well in the camp of his political adversaries

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has said all is not well in the camp of his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, despite their posturing and the facade of happiness they show to the public.

The governor took a swipe at the current Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, on Wednesday while ostensibly reacting to Wike’s dancing video that circulated on social media last week.

Wike set tongues wagging on social media last week Monday when a footage of him dancing went viral.

In the video, the minister donned a Versace blue street-style coat, reportedly worth over N2 million.

The dress made Wike the target of public opprobrium with Nigerians asserting that wearing such an expensive outfit amid the deepening economic hardship shows how insensitive and wicked the people in power are.

Speaking when the people of Ogbakor Etche paid him a solidarity visit in Port Harcourt, Fubara said Wike’s dancing in the public is a coping mechanism for the trouble and misery that beset him.

He said people should not get carried away by Wike’s public mood of forced gaiety, adding that all is not well in the camp of his political adversaries.

Fubara stated that Wike and his cohorts only dance in the media but cry behind the scenes.

He said: “Don’t let anybody deceive you. They can come to the media and dance but when they go behind, they cry.

“The truth is that we don’t know how to dance but we say it the way it is and we stand tall anywhere we go.”
