Retired Colonel BT Vandi of the Nigerian Army was found dead in a hotel located within the Nigerian Defence Academy base in Buruku, Plateau State.

The retired officer died on July 16, 2024, shortly after checking into the hotel. His body was discovered by an attendant around 3:20 PM.

A military signal, exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters, confirmed that the deceased’s body has been moved to the 3 Division Military Hospital in Jos for further investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

The signal stated: “At about 161520A 24, TPS of HQ 3 Div received information that Col BT Vandi (rtd) was found dead in a hotel room at NDA base camp, Bukuru, Plateau State. TPS mobilized to the scene and moved the corpse to 3DMSH for further action. Pic attached.”
