In a viral video, two police officers allegedly acting on the orders of Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State have assaulted Abdul Majeed Dan Bilki, a prominent Kano politician known for his vocal criticism.

The assault occurred after Danbilki’s scathing remarks about Governor Uba Sani during a recent interview. The officers in the video repeatedly questioned Danbilki about his criticisms, asking, “Why are you insulting Uba Sani? Are you an indigene of Kaduna State? Is he your mate?”

The disturbing footage shows Danbilki pleading for mercy, stating, “I’m a Nigerian, I didn’t insult Uba Sani. I’m diabetic, stop hitting me, I have heart problems.”

Danbilki had described Governor Uba Sani as “clueless, nepotistic, a betrayer, and an ungrateful human being” during the interview, which reportedly triggered the assault.

In a subsequent video, Danbilki claimed he was forcibly taken to Abuja, where he was allegedly chained, beaten near a river, and threatened with death over his remarks about Governor Uba Sani.

Local authorities have yet to comment on the incident, which has sparked widespread outrage and calls for an investigation into the alleged abuse of power.
