He expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Chief of Army Staff, which was instrumental in the successful rescue operations.

“The plight of the remaining Chibok girls continues to capture national attention, prompting several military operations deep into terrorist enclaves aimed at facilitating their rescue. So far, 19 Chibok girls have been rescued as a result of direct military operations,” General Waidi said.

He reiterated that ongoing military operations across the theater are crucial to achieving the mandate of ‘Operation Hadin Kai’, which aims to restore normalcy in the region and ensure the resumption of socio-economic activities.
