  • The PRP accused the PDP administration causing unprecedented hardship, hunger, and poverty in Bauchi.
  • It also said that the APC government has also failed to bring significant development, adopting anti-people policies.

The Peoples Redemption Party in Bauchi has asked citizens to join the party to create a better tomorrow for the state, alleging that the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress have not delivered on their promises.

The PRP also urged citizens to be cautious and discerning in the face of heated political rhetoric.

The party warned against being misled by the ongoing disputes between PDP and APC leaders, which may be driven by self-interest.

This is contained in a statement issued by Abdulazeez Haruna, state secretary, on Saturday.

The statement reads: “The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Bauchi State Chapter has called on the people of Bauchi State to be vigilant and not be swayed by the ongoing verbal fracas between the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

“The PRP Bauchi State Chapter believes that these politicians are birds of a feather that flock together and easily change camp in pursuit of their personal interests, prioritizing their pocket interests over public interests.

“They are the same people who have failed to bring meaningful development to the state, and have instead engaged in white elephant projects and embezzlement of public funds without transparency or accountability.

“Under the current PDP government, Bauchi State has experienced unprecedented hardship, with hunger and poverty being the major problems facing the people.

“Despite having the opportunity to make a difference, the PDP government has failed to deliver on its promises, and has instead focused on pocketing public funds without transparency or accountability.

“Similarly, the APC government at the federal level has also failed to bring any significant development to the state except suffering through the adoption of anti-masses policies and brazen peculation of public funds.

“In fact, most of the current APC leaders were previously members of PDP and have only changed camps in search of personal gain, demonstrating their lack of integrity.

“The PRP Bauchi State Chapter urges the people of Bauchi State to reject these selfish and self-centred politicians who have no intention of helping them. We must know them for who they are, and not be swayed by their empty promises and false rhetoric.

“The PRP stands committed to protecting and promoting the interests of the people of Bauchi State with honesty, integrity, and transparency. We believe that it is time for a new approach to governance, one that prioritises the needs and aspirations of the people over personal interests.”
