  • The project was to assist in restoring the confidence of Nigerian citizens

A coalition of interest groups under the Nigeria for Peace Project (N4P) paid a courtesy visit to the Media Trust Group in an effort to increase media engagement and promote peaceful coexistence in the country.

Ambassador Ibrahim Waiya, the convener of N4P, led the delegation and stated that the movement was made up of like-minded organisations and individuals. He stated: “The N4P project is an independent intervention project conceived and birthed by some like-minded civil society practitioners through the coordination of Citizens for Development and Education (CDE), Northern Youth Assembly (NYA), and Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), as well as other patriotic individuals from and across the country, who believe and promote the oneness, unity, peace, and security of the Nigerian State.”

He further said that the project was to assist in restoring the confidence of Nigerian citizens, build bridges to close gaps of mistrust and blame game, as well as to promote reconciliation.

Waiya thanked the management of Media Trust Group for the warm reception and said they were looking forward to more collaborations.
