“One victim is still trapped under the rubble and has been communicating from inside the building, pleading for help. Rescue teams are continuing efforts to locate and extract them,” the student said.

The Dean of Students from UNIBEN is reportedly on-site, overseeing the rescue operation with the university’s team.

As of the time of this report, the university management has not released an official statement on the cause of the collapse or the number of people affected. Rescue efforts are still underway.
