  • Gusau assured the public of the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s commitment to upholding justice, fairness, and the rule of law.

The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, has ordered for probe into the purported wrongful detention of Nigerian Naval rating Seaman Abbas Haruna, who has been held for six years.

Haruna’s spouse recently aired her grievances on a radio program in Abuja, claiming that military authorities had unjustly detained her husband for nearly six years.

This development was disclosed in a statement released by Acting Director of Defence Information, Brig.-Gen. Tukur Gusau, on Monday in Abuja.

Gusau reaffirmed the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s dedication to promoting justice, fairness, and adherence to the law.
