Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, citing the importance of a robust road network for the state’s growth.

During an inspection tour, Governor Abiodun announced that the ongoing construction of the Toyin-Giwa, Akute-Ajuwon, and Akute-Alagbole roads would be completed and commissioned within the next three months. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done so far, praising the contractor’s efforts.

The governor also highlighted the challenges faced by residents due to the deplorable state of the Ojodu-Abiodun-Denro-Ishasi-Akute Road. He noted that the road’s reconstruction demonstrates his administration’s commitment to alleviating the suffering of the people.

Governor Abiodun urged residents to maintain the road properly, avoid blocking the drainage, and respect speed breakers installed to prevent reckless driving. He also called on investors to choose Ogun State, assuring them that his administration remains committed to infrastructure development and creating a business-friendly environment.

The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Ade Akinsanya, explained that the 4.65km road with a 30-metre bridge was designed to enhance connectivity, boost economic growth, and support the overall development of the area while ensuring seamless links to Lagos State.

In related developments, Governor Abiodun has also commissioned the Sagamu-Iperu-Ode-Sapade road, and announced plans to reconnect the Siun-Ogere-Iperu-Ilisan road. Additionally, he has promised to award contracts for the construction of the Alagbole-Akute and Akute-Oke-Aro-Ijoko roads in Ifo Local Government Area within the next two weeks.
