Residents in Edo state’s Amagba community allegedly killed two welders mistaken for armed robbers.

Yamu added that the arrested suspects have been charged in court.

The victims, Osamudiamen Ehigie and Nosa Aghimie, were returning from a project site when they encountered gunmen robbing residents.

The suspected robbers chased the artisans into a nearby house where they hid.

However, neighborhood residents, mistaking them for robbers, apprehended and fatally attacked them.

The project site owner intervened, arguing that the victims were innocent.
