Bayern Munich announced on Monday that they have extended the contract of long-time goalkeeper Manuel Neuer until the end of the 2025-26 season.
The decision ends speculation about Neuer’s future, as his previous deal was set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Neuer, who has played over 500 matches for the Bavarian club, remains “the best goalkeeper of his generation and a Bayern icon,” said sporting chief Max Eberl.
The club expressed their delight at Neuer’s decision to stay, marking his 15th season with Bayern since joining Schalke in 2011.
