The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, has accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of losing control over Osun State’s security following a series of communal crises linked to chieftaincy disputes and land conflicts.

Communities such as Ifon, Ilobu, Ido-Osun, Ede, Esa-Oke, and Ido-Ajegunle have witnessed violent clashes, with the latest incident in Esa-Oke leaving seven policemen injured.

Basiru, speaking to journalists in Osogbo, blamed Adeleke for approving controversial chieftaincy decisions that have fueled unrest. “The governor is giving residents false hope. These crises, marked by killings, arson, and destruction, show he is not in control,” he said.

He further accused Adeleke’s administration of failing in governance and vowed that the APC would restore stability if elected in 2026.
