  • The party announced the new development on its official social media handle

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched its nationwide digital membership e-registration.

This was disclosed on Wednesday via the official APC X handle.

“The strategic agreement with our consultants will modernise, strengthen and digitize our membership register. The initiative marks a significant shift from analogue to a digital membership database,” the statement reads.

In another development, the party Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje has declared that the North would return to power in 2031.

Ganduje hinted that President Bola Tinubu would complete his second tenure after which the North would return to power.

He disclosed this while addressing members of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Media Centre, PBAT Media Centre, and Tinubu Northern Youth Forum, TNYF, during their visit to the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

The former Kano State governor appealed that Northerners interested in running for the presidency should wait till 2031.

Ganduje noted that it would be daydreaming to think that the Presidency would shift to the North in two years because of the extant North-South zoning agreement.

“When a leader from the northern part of this country was in office for eight years, we advocated that the next president in our party should come from the South.

“Luckily enough, we worked very hard with the cooperation of Nigerians.

“Our president has come from the South and he is going, inshallah, for the second term in 2027. And then after that, it will turn to the northern part of this country,” he said.

This is coming days after former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai endorsed an article on X that suggested that the North would reject Tinubu in 2027.
