  • APC Chieftain Alhaji Abdulmajid Dan Bilki Commander regrets campaigning for Tinubu, citing unmet expectations and suffering among Nigerians
  • Commander seeks forgiveness from the masses for promoting the APC-led government, which he says has failed to fulfill its promises

Kano-based politician and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alhaji Abdulmajid Dan Bilki Commander, has expressed deep regret over his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2023 general election.

Speaking with Daily Trust via telephone, Commander stated that based on available performance indicators, President Tinubu had disappointed many Nigerians who voted for him.

“In my entire life, I have never regretted an action as much as I regret campaigning for President Tinubu,” he admitted.

He emphasized that, despite being an active APC member, he must acknowledge that the party’s administration has failed to meet the expectations of Nigerians.

“It pains me, but the truth must be told. I dedicated my time and resources to convince people to vote for APC, and today, I deeply regret my actions,” he said.

Commander further stated that as a representative of the masses, he feels compelled to seek their forgiveness, as his promises on behalf of the APC-led government have not been fulfilled.

“Nigerians are suffering. Their expectations have not been met. They are hungry and angry. Security is not guaranteed, and governance is lopsided. Many cannot even afford two meals a day,” he lamented.
