Bandits kill pastor’s son, abduct wife in Nasarawa attack

  • The assailants inflicted machete wounds on the pastor before taking his wife

Gunmen have killed the son of a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor and abducted his wife in Mararaba, a community near Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.

The attack happened in the early hours of Monday at the home of Pastor Austin Ifeji in Gwagwalade, Mararaba.

According to reports, the assailants inflicted machete wounds on the pastor before taking his wife. His son, who tried to protect his mother, was shot and later died in hospital.

The kidnappers have reportedly demanded a ₦30 million ransom. It is unclear if the pastor’s wife has been released.
