  • Ganduje praised the economic policies under the Tinubu-led government, stating that they are beginning to show beneficial outcomes.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) will lose Kano before 1 p.m. on election day in 2027, according to Rep. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream).

During an empowerment event hosted by the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau I. Jibrin, in Kano on Sunday, Doguwa expressed certainty that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state is united, which he believes will facilitate the party’s return to power.

“With the unity in our party now, by God’s grace, we will reclaim our mandate in Kano before 1 p.m. on election day in 2027. The NNPP will be defeated,” he said.

At the gathering, Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, discussed the empowerment program, which distributed 1,037 motorcycles and 63 cars to APC ward and local government leaders.

He stated that the initiative was meant to assist party supporters and fortify their influence at the grassroots level.

“We decided to start with empowering our party leaders who are part and parcel of the society,” Barau stated.

“We know that members of the leadership of APC are well-to-do people because most of them are farmers and hardworking individuals. And that’s why we decided to empower them more so that they can live a happy life.”

He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies, emphasizing initiatives like the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which he mentioned would enable students in institutions such as Bayero University to pursue education more conveniently.

“The President has an array of programs designed for us,” Barau stated.

“You see what he is doing with NELFUND, students can now go to school. He has also created a commission to intervene, restructure, and improve infrastructure.”

The National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, also praised the economic policies under the Tinubu-led government, stating that they are beginning to show beneficial outcomes.

“We have to thank Mr. President. We have to thank him for the reforms that he initiated. We have started seeing the positive results of the reforms in Nigeria today. The cost of petrol has started coming down, the prices of food items have started coming down, and the Naira has started appreciating. We assure you that Nigeria will be taken to the next level,” he said.
