One Gbolahan Adebayo has allegedly beaten his 25-year-old girlfriend to death in Lagos State.
The incident happened last Friday, 21 February 2025, at about 8:00 p.m. at Ijedodo, Isheri-Osun area of the State.
The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the tragic incident to newsmen on Monday.
According to him, the suspect committed the offence and has since been arrested by the State Police Command.
“A neighbour said he saw the man beating his girlfriend in his room for a reason yet unknown. A few minutes later, the suspect screamed for help.
“On reaching the suspect’s apartment, he found the girlfriend lying unconscious with visible marks on her body.
“The girl was rushed to a hospital in Ijegun, where she was confirmed dead.”
