Senator Mustapha’s empowerment program distributed tools to 2,500 beneficiaries, aligning with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to boost grassroots development
The federal government has stated that President Bola Tinubu’s reforms across all sectors indicate that Nigeria is on the right path.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, made this known in Ilorin during an agriculture and human capital development empowerment program organized by Senator Saliu Mustapha.
According to Kyari, the president’s initiatives in farming and food security are increasing food availability and gradually making prices more affordable. He described this progress as reassuring for Nigerians, affirming that the reforms are yielding results.
The minister commended Senator Mustapha for his empowerment efforts, calling the program a unique and impactful initiative.
Deputy Senate President, Jubril Barau, also spoke at the event, highlighting that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aims to ensure food security for all Nigerians.
He emphasized that agriculture and human capital development are crucial for effective governance, especially given global economic trends.
Barau praised Senator Mustapha’s contributions as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, noting that his efforts directly benefit his constituents in Kwara Central.
He further expressed the Senate’s satisfaction with Mustapha’s achievements in implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda at the grassroots level.
“He has an in-depth understanding of the sector. Because of the scale of this initiative, I am donating 200 sewing machines to support the program,” Barau announced.
In his remarks, Senator Mustapha affirmed that the project aligns with President Tinubu’s agenda, adding that extensive efforts were made to train individuals across different empowerment areas.
“We are organizing this program to support the state government’s efforts to improve people’s lives,” Mustapha stated.
The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bashir Ajibola, urged constituents to show appreciation for these efforts by voting massively for APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
“I encourage you all to support President Tinubu and Senator Mustapha with your votes. I repeat, there is no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027,” he declared.
Approximately 2,500 people benefited from the event, receiving empowerment tools such as 250 deep freezers, over 400 irrigation machines, and 20 vehicles for distribution across the four local government areas in the senatorial district.
Additional items distributed included 450 grinding machines, eight tractors, convertible tricycles, live cows, fertilizers, and over 400 pumping machines to support dry-season farming, among others.
The initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to improving food security and economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
