Tinubu meets with Obasa, Meranda, other Lagos Assembly members behind closed-door

• The meeting is coming in the wake of the resolution of the leadership crisis that enveloped the Assembly since the beginning of the year.

President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with members of the Lagos State House of Assembly at the State House in Abuja.

Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and Deputy Speaker Mojisola Meranda are also at the closed-door meeting.

The lawmakers reportedly arrived in two white buses, including Deputy Speaker Meranda, while Speaker Obasa arrived separately a moments later.

The meeting is coming in the wake of the resolution of the leadership crisis that enveloped the Assembly since the beginning of the year.

Recall that Obasa was reinstalled as the speaker of the house earlier this month after he was removed in January following allegations of abuse of office and financial impropriety.
