- Momodu claimed that Wike’s anger at the PDP stemmed from his failure to clinch both the presidential and vice-presidential tickets of the party.
The publisher of Ovation International Magazine, Dele Momodu, has weighed in on recent political developments in the country, especially the internal wrangling and leadership crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This is even as the veteran journalist disclosed why the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, cannot join the All Progressives Congress, APC.
During an interview with Arise TV on Wednesday night, Momodu said Wike cannot defect to the APC despite working for the party because he will lose his influence and authority.
Momodu claimed that Wike’s anger at the PDP stemmed from his failure to clinch both the presidential and vice-presidential tickets of the party, adding that the former Rivers State governor is coldhearted and unforgiving.
“Just because Wike lost the presidential bid and the vice-presidential bid, he has become inconsolable. I say this every time I speak about him,” Momodu said.
He added that Wike does not have the temerity to join APC because he sees himself as a king in PDP.
“He has this anger. He cannot forgive.
He added: “If you have Tinubu behind you, you will be powerful. I dare Wike to join the APC tomorrow.
“If Wike has the guts, he should join the APC.
“The other day, Tinubu told him he is welcome to join the APC.
“He cannot. Because for him, it is better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven. He’s a don in the PDP.”
