- Morka described El‑Rufai’s attack on Tinubu’s administration in Sokoto as another outburst of a “waspish politician.”
- The APC spokesman said El‑Rufai had fallen from political prominence to ridicule, requiring a “forensic study” of his decline.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has branded former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El‑Rufai, as the most confused and clueless politician in Nigeria’s history.
The party’s national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, said El‑Rufai’s failed ministerial ambition was no justification to attack President Bola Tinubu.
Morka was reacting to El‑Rufai’s call on Nigerians to reject Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
El‑Rufai had claimed that Tinubu would destroy the country if given a second term.
The former governor was initially tipped for a ministerial slot but was not cleared by the Senate.
Following the rejection, he dumped the APC and criticised the party for lack of internal democracy.
Morka, however, said Nigerians must learn from what he described as El‑Rufai’s descent from political relevance to ridicule.
“His speedy fall from commanding heights to the political clown he has become needs forensic study,” Morka said.
He condemned El‑Rufai’s attack on Tinubu’s administration at a meeting in Sokoto, describing it as another outburst of a “waspish politician.”
According to him, El‑Rufai and his allies in the African Democratic Congress are “the most confused, clueless, rudderless and pitiful opposition politicians our country has ever known.”
“They bring nothing to the political table except their oversized ego, wild entitlement mentality, obscene desperation and predatory presidential ambitions,” Morka added.
