Newly appointed Shooting Stars assistant coach, Akin Olowokere, has passed away during the Ibadan-based football club’s training session on Monday.
The former Sunshine Stars player and coach was said to have slumped and was swiftly attended to by medics.
The incident happened at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode, while the team was training for Matchday 2 of the ValueJet Cup 2025.
Olowokere, who is one of the coaches that were recently appointed by 3SC, was then rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he was confirmed dead.
