Two passengers kidnapped in Rivers

Two occupants of a commercial vehicle have been kidnapped while travelling along the Emohua- Kalabari area of East-West road in Rivers State.

The state acting Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident, said it occurred at the same spot where a similar kidnap took place a fortnight ago.

Iringe-Oko said information available from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area revealed that only two persons were abducted, while the driver escaped.

The PPRO disclosed that efforts were on to ensure that the victims were rescued unhurt and to forestall future occurrence.

“Yes, it’s true. The location is under the Emuoha LGA. We are investigating and efforts are on to ensure they are rescued unhurt,” the police image maker stated.
