Jonathan, who took to his verified Twitter handle, prayed God to grant Obasanjo strength and good health as he marks another year.
He made this remark while felicitating with Obasanjo as he celebrates his 82nd birthday.
Jonathan wrote: “Baba, I rejoice with you today on the occasion of your 82nd birthday. Indeed, you have been a great asset to our nation and your service to humanity has been exemplary. May God continue to bless you with strength & good health even as you enjoy more glorious years on earth. – GEJ”
Similarly, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki has prayed that God gives the former president great wisdom, health and grace to serve humanity.
In a tweet: Saraki wrote: “Happy 82nd Birthday to His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
“As you celebrate another year, Baba, I pray to Almighty God to continue to give you good health, great wisdom and grace to serve humanity.”
