Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane, has explained on his Instagram page that Yahoo boys are African music promoters.
In recent times, the Nigerian social media has been divided between supporters of internet fraud popularly called Yahoo Yahoo and people who are against it.
Surprisingly, some Nigerian entertainers are of the opinion that it is not a crime but a hustle as many of them try to explain why Yahoo is not bad.
According to him Dammy Krane , these Nigerian fraudsters spend a lot of money at clubs in foreign countries and they make sure the DJ’s play Nigerian music, promoting it in the process.
Speaking further, the singer explained in a subsequent post that Yahoo boys will ask DJ’s to play a particular African song after buying 20 or 30 drinks. If a big artiste such as Drake happens to be in the club, he would search for the song and become aware of the artiste.
