Shehu Sani, former Kaduna Central Senator, has reacted to the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde’s assets declaration.

It was reported that Makinde on Monday fulfilled his campaign promise to publicly declare his assets.

The Governor, who visited the Oyo State office of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in Ibadan to receive a copy of the asset declaration form, said that his decision to make the assets public was in fulfillment of a personal promise, he made during the elections.

He released details of N48bn assets he declared to the CCB.

Makinde has since received commendations from well meaning Nigerians and leaders, such as Atiku Abubakar, amongst others.

Also, Shehu Sani, reacting on his Twitter page, described Makinde’s public asset declaration as a challenge to those he described as “Messiahs and saints of anti-corruption”.

Sani wrote: “Oyo State Governor’s public declaration of assets is a moral challenge to the messiahs of transparency, Angels of change and saints of anti corruption.”
