Waje Announces First-Ever Intimate Bedroom Concert, ‘Red Velvet’

Multiple award-winning super singer, Waje, has announced a new bedroom concert titled after her latest second studio album, ‘Red Velvet’.

Waje’s ‘Red Velvet’ album, released in December 2018, explores the songbird’s eclectic style and embodies tracks which span reggae and jazz alongside a concomitant touch of house music.

According to the event organizer, the concert would showcase Waje’s critically acclaimed R&B album and “explore its passionate themes with a distinctively new burlesque story-telling style”.

Mavin Records’ alternative and soul act, Johnny Drille, will lead the star musicians billed to perform at the concert, while the event would be hosted by actress and comedienne, Chigul.

The organizers of ‘Red Velvet Bedroom concert’ have also promised a full-blown bedroom musical from sensual, soulful lovelorn ballads to fierce energetic affirmations.”

Speaking about the coming event, Waje expressed her excitement, saying; “I have wanted to do this for a long time, to sing my truth to the world, my way.

“My goal has been to have a very intimate, passionate experience with you! The stars have aligned and it’s finally time! Please join me,” she wrote.

The concert is slated for September 1, at the Shell Hall, Muson Centre in Lagos.
