WITHIN NIGERIA had reported how operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) arrested a Journalist, Chido Onumah.

Recall that the Author, Chido Onumah who returned to Nigeria from Spain where he recently bagged a doctorate in communication studies was arrested Upon his arrival at Abuja airport 4pm on Sunday where he was clearing his luggage and was expected to have dinner with a friend. He was waiting to confirm the venue of his appointment.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that he was accosted by DSS official who walked up to him, flashed his ID card and told him he was to be questioned in connection with a planned protest. DSS said there was an intel they got about some people who were trying to cause unrest and he was picked because of the inscription on his shirt “WE ARE ALL BIAFRANS”, which happened to be the title of his new book.

The DSS officials questioned his attire and why he was putting on the vest with the inscription, while he answered by telling them that was the titled of his new book.

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that hours after his arrest and  after much examination he was released by the DSS.
